Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Mental health is defined as a state of well-being that allows people to acquire and develop cognitive, emotional, and social competences. The elderly, especially in nursing homes, are a special group who need more attention. The mental health of the elderly is easily affected by external conditions, for example, the surrounding environment and quality of life. A high quality of life will make them feel happier and enjoy their life. Conversely, the risk of developing mental health problems will increase when they have a low quality of life. Therefore, quality of life plays a relevant role in enhancing mental health in the elderly.
The aim of this Special Issue is to collect information concerning the quality of life and mental health in the elderly, which can be useful for promoting global healthy aging. Thus, we welcome high-quality papers on this topic. In particular, we would appreciate studies addressing the relationship between quality of life and mental health in the elderly
