Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiac arrhythmias and arrhythmogenic disorders represent a significant area of concern within cardiology due to their prevalence and potential for severe clinical outcomes.

Their management encompasses a spectrum of strategies from pharmacological therapies and lifestyle modifications to invasive procedures like catheter ablation and the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. Recent innovations in electrophysiology have also opened new avenues for treating previously intractable arrhythmias.

Understanding the clinical aspects of these disorders is crucial for developing personalized treatment plans and improving patient outcomes. This involves not only treating the arrhythmias themselves but also addressing the underlying conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, and coronary artery disease that often accompany them.

This Special Issue aims to delve into the multifaceted clinical dimensions of cardiac arrhythmias and arrhythmogenic disorders, presenting the latest research, clinical experiences, and therapeutic advancements to provide a comprehensive resource for healthcare professionals in the field about the following topics: the epidemiology and etiology of cardiac arrhythmias; advances in diagnostic techniques, including imaging and electrophysiological studies; the pathophysiology and molecular mechanisms underlying arrhythmogenic disorders; clinical management and therapeutic interventions, including pharmacological treatments and catheter ablation; genetic and hereditary factors in arrhythmogenic disorders; risk stratification and the prevention of sudden cardiac death; innovations in device therapy, such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (icds); the impact of lifestyle factors and comorbidities on the progression and management of arrhythmias.

In this Special Issue, we invite authors to submit papers that provide significant contributions to the field, offering novel insights, rigorous methodologies, and practical implications for improving patient care.

We look forward to receiving your submissions for this Special Issue.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
