The ‘Artificial Intelligence in Polymer Science’ section of the journal Polymers aims to accelerate innovation in polymer science by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). This interdisciplinary section serves as a nexus between computational advancements and polymer research, promoting data-driven approaches to address challenges in sustainability, efficiency, and the development of next-generation polymer technologies.
We welcome contributions that explore the application of AI across all aspects of polymer science, including but not limited to the following:
- Data-driven methodologies;
- Machine learning and deep learning techniques;
- Multiscale modeling and simulation;
- AI-guided polymer synthesis and processing;
- AI in polymer design, characterization, and analysis;
- AI for performance prediction and optimization;
- AI in sustainable polymers and circular economy initiatives;
