Dear Colleagues,
Recent advancements in material science have profoundly impacted metal catalysis, leading to significant enhancements in reaction performance and efficiency. Innovations in materials and preparation techniques have been pivotal in these developments. Current research focuses on optimizing catalysts through the integration of various inorganic materials and the combination of different catalytic phases, including both homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. Each approach offers distinct advantages for specific reaction types. Additionally, advanced assembly techniques, such as sophisticated impregnation methods and controlled synthesis processes, are further refining catalyst properties and performance.
This Special Issue on “Metal Catalysts in Organic Chemistry” seeks high-quality contributions that investigate the latest progress in metal catalysis. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performance and applications of novel catalytic materials;
- Innovative preparation techniques and their effects on catalyst efficiency;
- New assembly methods and their impact on catalyst properties;
- Integration of catalytic processes into industrial applications, encompassing modeling and performance evaluation.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Processes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
