Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Cutting-edge cancer research focuses on the identification of biomarkers with diagnostic, prognostic, predictive and therapeutic utility. The development of accurate and robust cancer biomarkers is critical for precision diagnostics and personalized treatment. Monitoring biomarkers should be used to assess the efficiency of therapeutic interventions, allowing the early detection of response to therapy or treatment failure and disease progression/relapse. The detailed on-treatment monitoring of biomarkers is of utmost importance for personalized medicine.
This Special Issue focuses on biomarkers’ response to cancer treatment. Therefore, we invite author to submit original research and review papers that advance our knowledge in this field and contribute to the development of personalized therapeutic tools.
Articles discussing liquid-biopsy based biomarkers, on-treatment monitoring biomarkers of minimal residual disease and biomarkers of response to immune checkpoint inhibitors are particularly welcome.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
