Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease associated with psoriasis. Imaging is an essential tool for the diagnosis and management of PsA. Recent advances in diagnostic imaging have improved the sensitivity and specificity of PsA diagnosis. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the most widely used imaging modalities in PsA detection. Ultrasound allows for the visualization of inflammation, joint effusion, and synovial hypertrophy at the site of disease. MRI is helpful in detecting bone and soft tissue abnormalities related to PsA. Positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) provide whole-body imaging capabilities and enable the monitoring of disease progression over time. Multimodal imaging techniques like PET-MRI and PET-CT have also shown great potential in PsA diagnosis. In conclusion, advances in imaging techniques are critical in the management and treatment of PsA, and the future development of imaging technology will continue to improve the accuracy and efficiency of PsA diagnosis and treatment. We are interested in collecting original articles and reviews describing the potential of imaging for Psoriatic Arthritis diagnosis and management.
