Understanding the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying the Analgesic Effect of Ginger

This work presented a comprehensive review on the analgesic effect of ginger and tried to reveal the underlying molecular mechanisms. The manuscript was well written and organized. However, there are some issues that should be addressed before it can be accepted.
1. It is better to provide the chemical structure of the main compounds in ginger in Introduction section.
2. Ginger contains variety of active substances. It is suggested to slightly review other bioactivities of ginger in Introduction section.
3. The number of articles summarized seems to be a little small, and it is recommended to increase the search sources, such as Web of Science.
4. It is suggested to provide the molecular mechanism diagram of ginger's analgesic effect in the Discussion section, so that readers can distinctly and directly understand the mechanism.
5. The authors reviewed the analgesic effect of ginger and tried to reveal the underlying molecular mechanisms. However, the future perspective section of this manuscript is missing. It's better to provide this part.

Dear Author,
After peer review, I suggest the MS entitled “Understanding the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying the Analgesic Effect of Ginger” needs major revision specially in the result section. The suggested corrections may be incorporated in the same:
1. The ginger is not a flowering plant. Correct it.
2. The research for the review was limited to only PubMed and SCOPUS, it is advisable to include from other resources as well.
3. The result section can be more elaborated
4. The discussion section may be concluded with a statement from the authors.
5. The future prospective from the study may be highlighted as well.
6. It may be added in the introduction that “Zingiber officinale Roscoe, which belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, is a herbaceous perennial plant. The plant has been used since ancient time traditionally as a spice and as a natural remedy for cough, cold and asthma etc. The various chemical constituents of ginger are responsible for the multiple medicinal properties.” From the publication DOI: 10.1080/0972060X.2018.1559104. 7. While in the ginger essential oil result may be added as “The study revealed the presence of twenty-one chemical constituents in the studied germplasm out of which E-citral followed by Z-citral, 1,8-cineole, ar-curcumene, camphene and geraniol were the major constituents. The identified minor compounds were 1-borneol followed by γ-muurolene, α-bisabolene, zingiberene, α-terpineol, farnesene, linalool, α-pinene, geranyl acetate, eudesmol and β-cedrene.” From the publication DOI: 10.1080/0972060X.2022.2107405. Generally, the paper is well written. The following comments should be considered when authors revise the manuscript.
1. The language quality of the paper needs to be polished further.
2. The motivations and highlights of the paper should be further strengthened.
3. According to the PRISMA criteria followed by the authors, one of the complete search strategies, either in Pubmed or EMBASE, should be reported.
4. Missing citation for lines i.e.:
Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe, Zingiberacae) is a flowering plant belonging to 23 the family Zingiberaceae. It originates from South-East Asia and has been naturalized in 24 many other countries.
and other fragments of the text referring to general data.
