Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The present work reported by Yingying Wu et al concernsa theoriticak study about ferroelectric KNN epitaxial films, namely the electrocaloric effect.

1)the work is theoretical, thus the title must include this mentionn as well as in the keywords

2) In the abstract the signs (-) and (- -) are not defined, the authors should review the meanings of these signs.

3) In the introduction, authors soulg give the difference between PPB and MPB

4)The introduction is very light and authors should state the purpose behind the present work

5) sum works as "the phase boundary" in line 31, in the abstract is reported 2 time

6) it may be interesting to compare this theoretical work with experimental results to validate the hypotheses formulated during this work

7)  English language should be polished and the text must be proofread by all authors to avoid typos

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors responded to my comments appropriately.

I agree to the publication of the manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors have taken time to thoughtfully address all of my concerns. The revised manuscript is improved in its clarity and following my previous report I now recommend publication in Crystals.
