Mutual Interaction of Clinical Factors and Specific microRNAs to Predict Mild Cognitive Impairment in Patients Receiving Hemodialysis
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this study the choice of clinical factors and specific miRNAs seem to be acceptable to predict mild cognitive impairment in patients receiving hemodialysis. This is a reasonable approach for identifying novel diagnostic biomarkers related to cognitive impairment in chronic kidney disease.
The findings described in this study are potentially interesting, although they are far from conclusive and further studies are needed.
However, the molecular and statistical methods used in the analysis are adequate, and the well-characterized dataset constitutes the strength of the study.
The manuscript is clearly written and is recommend for the publication in your journal.

Reviewer 2 Report
In this manuscript, the authors aim to examine mutual interaction of various clinical factors for cognitive impairment in patients receiving hemodialysis. The manuscript is overall scientifically sound and I only have some very minor comments for this manuscript.
- Figure 1 should be in the Materials and Methods section instead of the Results section.
- Formatting mistakes (such as at line 160) should be corrected.

Ans. We revised information of Figure 1 in Materials and Methods sections (Line
76-77).
“114 potentially eligible hemodialysis patients were screening. Finally, a
total 48 patients receiving hemodialysis were enrolled for analysis(Figure
1).”
- Formatting mistakes (such as at line 160) should be corrected.
Ans. We corrected the mistakes in line 160 text.
“Dialysis vintage in study cohort was 119 +78 months.”
