Effect of the Gap Matching Relation on the Pressure Pulsation Characteristics at Blade’s Surface of the Multiphase Pump
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
First of all, the authors should present the pump, the real pump, not a simplified model, and it's real working conditions. Several relations and pages of diagrams won't save the paper. It is not very clear how the data was obtained.
I have some questions and remarks:
- I would avoid the term "relationship", it means a relation between 2 humans. I know that Google automatically translates in this manner, but I think that "relationship" should be replaced by "relation". It is a mathematical relation. Please change the title too.
- row 28: replace very urgent with imperative
- row 31: replace no fear of sand with sand resistant
- rows 32-34: the phrase is somehow repeating itself
- Introduction contains a huge block of text, maybe it is a good idea to break it in several paragraphs
- II Computational model should go to the next page
- in Table 1: I doubt that the pump has the flow of 90 cubic meters/second
- how is defined the shape of the impellers ?
- Figure 4: how are the power and efficiency calculated ?
- for all the diagrams: how were the pressure pulsations etc monitored ? on which pump ? the result are obtained by simulations or by measuring on a real pump in working conditions ?
- rows 247-248: phrase is not finished
Some minor English improvements should be made in the text.
The Introduction is good and the References are relevant.

Reviewer 2 Report
Comments:
- Experimental technique, page 6
Reviewer recommends to add more detailed description of applied measurement technique ( pressure transducers, torquemeter, flowmeter etc) in investigated pump
2. It would be very useful to present results of uncertainty analysis of pump efficiency
3. Variable t/s in Figs. 5 and 9 should be defined more precisely
4. Definitions of pressure coefficient CP in Figs. 7, 8, 11 and 12 :
There are two variables denoted by one notation CP
-peak to peak value of pressure pulsation in time domain
- amplitude coefficient of the dominant frequency
Exact definitions would be adequate.
5. In the text of the article, the authors often describe the current phenomena in the impeller and diffuser based on the assumed flow mechanism in the axial pump from literature. However, this is unnecessary because they have their own calculated CFD data on the flow fields in the pump under investigation.

Round 2
Reviewer 1 Report
The paper was well improved and corrected by the authors and I agree to be published. They answered positive to all my remarks. The paper is good for engineers and students.
Reviewer 3 Report
The authors have addressed all the comments appropriately. Therefore, I recommend acceptance of the paper in its current form.
