 This study outlines a new model for integrating students with type 1 diabetes into Italian schools, using Family and Community Nurses (FCNs) experienced in pediatric T1D. Based on teachers' and parents' feedback, the model sees FCNs as educators and facilitators, enhancing school staff knowledge and offering intervention and training when necessary.

The authors already highlighted the limitations which are mostly related to the design and the psychometric measures of the tools
