Reviewer 2 Report

In this paper, the authors describe their work manufacturing a cavitation system for tire desulfurization purposes, and -among additional stimulation runs- they also tested the application of it for this reason. The subject is very interesting and I enjoyed reading their work. Among others, I particularly liked the fact that the authors take under consideration the time amount of the proposed process, in economical and efficiency terms.

Although I’m always fond of seeing raw measurements, the absence of XRF spectra presentation is considered negligible in this case. Regarding the use of English, although the manuscript is well understandable, it would be further benefited by being checked again, in terms of English fluency.

Through all the manuscript, please check journal’s instructions whether to use “tyre” (British spelling) or “tire” (American spelling). Some English use comments:

Line 36: Certain alternatives

Lines 44-46: Tyres made of rubber cannot be melted to be reused, due to the thermally irreversible cross-linking by sulfur.

Line 82. Please, remove the additional dot before the “;” mark.

Line 133: Please, change to “Pyrolysis oil, provided from …”

Line 138: Please, change to “was printed using polylactic acid (PLA) …”

Lines 139-140: Please, keep a uniform font size

Lines 150-151: Unnecessary double use of the word “tank”

Line 159: were used.

Lines 217-218: Consider revising.
