Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

An interesting paper in view of potential use of diode laser in dental applications. A careful investigation of different parameters for curing with novel relatively cheap hand-hold  lasers, as compared to the well established LED sources.

The paper is highly interesting in demonstrating the pros and cons of this new technology. This is both of interest in theory and praxis up to the dentist.

It is well written and understandable.

In the attachment, I have collected some questions and comments that I ask you to consider and to make the appropriate revisions.

After a minor revision considering these issues, I would propose to accept this paper for publication in “Nanomaterials”.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript by Mandić et al. analyses an interesting comparison between three different-composition materials and two light-curing devices.

Overall, the manuscript is well structured and I think it would be of great interest for researchers and dental practitioners alike.

There are however some minor issues that need to be addressed before publication:

- in lines 54, 263 - please insert references to back up the affirmations or rephrase

- Check Ivoclar Vivadent  references throughout the manuscript for full reference, including country.

- the abstract could be rephrased in order to reflect all the conclusions/elements in the discussion section.
