Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The topic of the paper ‘Modified differential evolution algorithm for a transportation software application’ is very interesting. This research develops a solution approach that is a combination of a web application and the modified differential evolution algorithm, aimed at solving a real-time transportation problem. A case study involving an inbound transportation problem in a company that has to plan the direct shipping of a finished product to be collected at the depot where the vehicles are located is presented.

The manuscript is well written, and in my opinion meet all the standards for publication in Journal of Open Innovation: Technology, Market, and Complexity.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is written in a clear and transparent manner, its structure is correct and the conclusions result from the obtained analysis. In my opinion, the method presented is the valuable development of approaches used so far.

However, I noticed some minor editing mistakes:

formula (12) in line 222 has been fitted in the frame, the numbering of the two formulas has been repeated: formula (11) in line 219 and 225 and formula (12) in line 222 and line 227.

I suggest correct them.
