Comments and Suggestions for Authors

COMMENTS:

1.       Motivation and its significance: The authors must make an effort to highlight the real contribution of the article.

2.       Revision Literature: Authors should consider including the following articles in their literature review:

file:///C:/Users/Antonio/Downloads/wpiea2020100-print-pdf.pdf

https://www.bis.org/publ/bppdf/bispap73g.pdf

3.       The authors need to explain why their sample is only 1 year (August 2021 to August 2022). It will be important to expand the sample. For example, Oh et al. (2012) analyze the multifractal spectra of daily foreign exchange rates for Japan, Hong-Kong, Korea, and Thailand with respect to the United States in the period from 1991 until 2005.

Oh, G., Eom, C., Havlin, S., Jung, W. S., Wang, F., Stanley, H. E., & Kim, S. (2012). A multifractal analysis of Asian foreign exchange markets. The European Physical Journal B85, 1-6.

4.       Robustness Tests: Authors should consider using other methods and extending the analysis to other countries.

5.       There is a lack of discussion and analysis supporting the robustness of the results in the paper.

6.      The paper concludes without discussing the most basic policy implications of the research findings and the limitations.

Using monofractal synthetic fluctuations to estimate the foreign

exchange rate: the case of the US dollar and the Chilean peso

(USD-CLP)

-The abstract of the article should be written in a more attractive and comprehensive manner.

-Passive language should be used instead of When we talk about, we, our. MDPI emphasizes this.

-The introduction should be written in a shorter, more focused manner, including the theoretical basis for the exchange rate.

-Correct the formal errors in Table 1.

-Conclusion should be more comprehensive.

-The article should present policy recommendations in detail in USD and Chilean peso.

-The subject integrity of the article should be presented with research questions in the introduction and global implications in the conclusion.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

I think that paper could be better if you add more comments about current state and shorten the history past stories.

I do not understand why part "b" of the illustation was added, that seems identical with "a". Maybe you forget about something?
