Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The paper "Implementation of Hybrid Education in Peruvian Public Universities: Challenges" presents a comprehensive and timely investigation into the adaptation of hybrid education in the context of Peruvian higher education, particularly during the uncertainties brought about by the global pandemic. The mixed-method approach enriches the study by providing both quantitative and qualitative insights into the challenges and experiences of university teachers navigating the shift towards a blended learning model. The detailed analysis of digital competencies among faculty and the outlined implications for pedagogical practice contribute significantly to the discourse on educational transformation in the digital age. However, the study could be further enhanced by considering a few recommendations. Firstly, it would be beneficial to delve deeper into the specific strategies employed by universities to support their faculty in developing these competencies. Understanding the institutional support mechanisms could offer valuable lessons for other educational institutions undergoing similar transitions. Additionally, incorporating a more diverse range of perspectives, including students and administrative staff, might provide a more holistic view of the hybrid education model's impact. Finally, exploring the long-term sustainability of these changes and their effects on educational equity and access would add a critical dimension to the discussion.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear authors,

The research carried out is still relevant because, at the international level, the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic are still being felt, some of them being positive, as is the determination of the large-scale implementation of the hybrid learning system.

For a greater accuracy of the presentation of the results of the research carried out, compared to those presented in the paper, I have the following suggestions:

1. B-Learning is a concept used for the first time in line 159, but without defining the abbreviation, as the author(s) very well defines all other concepts and acronyms/abbreviations used.

2. It is not clear if the authors equate blended learning and hybrid learning. It should be specified.

3. It is not mandatory, but it would be recommended to specify why/how the three academic institutions were chosen. Identical to the choice of the six teachers with experience in hybrid education,

4. In the Discussion, several specific references should be made to the results obtained and presented in 3. Results.

5. The results obtained in D1-D6 from Table 1 should also be analyzed.

6. References to specialized literature within this section must be made in such a way as to highlight the results and not give the impression that they are quoted. For example (line 277-284): From these realities described, the national universities in Peru had experiences that were not different, since in some of them there was indecision as to which technological platform to use for virtual education, leaving the professors in the void of perplexity, reflecting their lack of knowledge regarding the use of technologies applied to education [22].
