Using Functional Education Appliance on One Patient with Class III Malocclusion in Mixed Dentition: A Case Report
Abstract
Highlights
- Prefabricated myofunctional appliances are effective options for managing skeletal Class III malocclusion in pediatric patients with vertical mandibular growth patterns.
- Treatment with prefabricated myofunctional appliances has a three-dimensional effect: sagittal, transverse, and vertical.
- Prefabricated myofunctional appliances offer an optimal force/moment mechanism in treating Class III malocclusion in pediatric patients.
- Treatment outcomes result from appliance-produced skeletal and dental effects, and craniofacial growth (including a short-term acceleration period).
