Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I consider the article to be adequate but recommend a readjustment as the data obtained in the SEM are not quite adequate, they should be above 0.9 at CFI = .83, TLI = .80, which are well below.

Thank you for you appreciation and suggestions. We reviewed the model adding more constrictions between the RSA subscale (Resilience Scale for Adult). Now the model fit better.

CONTENT QUALITY/ ORIGINALITY

ü  Under the special instance of the Covid-19 circumstances of social/physical distancing and the peculiarities of adolescents as a social group, the study tackles current issues and is innovative.

ü  The topic is very relevant to society and sufficiently novel to warrant publication, while at the same time, it adheres to the journal’s basic standards and guidelines.

ü  The study aims to examine the effects of resilience and emotion regulation difficulties on distress (depression, anxiety, stress) under the premise that resilience, as a protective factor, can reduce the magnitude of possible emotional disturbances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you for you appreciation and suggestions

ORGANIZATION/ CLARITY

1. Introduction

In their introduction, the authors place the theoretical framework, summarize relevant and recent research data from studies conducted in different countries, and refer to the effects of social/physical distancing measures on the well-being of adolescents and young adults.

The authors also introduce the concept of emotion regulation and its relevance to adolescents’ well-being. Suggestion: At the end of the introduction, the authors should state clearly their research questions.

Thank you for you appreciation and suggestions. We added, at the endo of the introduction, a list of hypotheses
