Reviewer 2 Report

This manuscript reveals the bioactive compounds in the leaves of wild garlic populations collected from different microlocations, and the differences in the content of phytochemicals in the vegetative and generative phases. The authors should consider the below comments in order to improve their paper.

  1. Please revise the title because it is confusing. The paper reflects on the differences in the content of bioactive compounds content in the vegetative and generative phases in relation to location of collection as well as climate conditions. Please change the title in order to concisely incorporate the essence of the paper.
  2. Please insert a list of abbreviations and nomenclature.
  3. The conclusions should be consolidated with numerical findings provided the experimental results. Similarly in the abstract the authors could give some more results. Also, please add a few sentences regarding the future works that are required and could continue what has been already done in this study.
  4. There are 55 references but I did not find any from Horticulturae journal. Please cite a few papers from Horticulturae journal in order to better link the content of the paper to the scope of the journal and to highlight the importance of the study for the readership of the journal.
