Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In section 2.1 Experimental Materials, the authors mention the WI, but do not explain how they obtain this parameter.

Since color is a very important quality parameter for mushrooms, the color coordinates that distinguish black strains from white strains should be specified.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This study is considered to be a very valuable study that can contribute to the breeding of oyster mushrooms.

1. In Figure 1, citations must be indicated in the legend.

2. It is recommended to add the full nucleotide sequence for the tyrosinase gene used. SNP information on the sequences used to find the restriction enzyme site is required, and information on the restriction enzyme site that may exist but was not used in this study must be disclosed.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

When breeding organisms, we care about certain phenotypic characteristics. These features are often associated with better quality of the product, e.g. taste.  This is also the case with oyster mushrooms. The dark colour of the fruit body is a desirable feature. We want to be able to quickly identify isolates that have this feature. The manuscript submitted for evaluation presents just such a method. The work is written clearly. The methodology was written correctly. My comments:

Line 29 - keywords - do not repeat with words from the title.

Lina 74 - lost space before [10]

Experimental Methods - it seems unnecessary to divide it into so many subchapters. Breaking it down and writing one sentence looks bad. Try to combine e.g. 2.23 with 2.2.4

When exchanging sensors, sometimes you write only the name of the company, sometimes you write the country, sometimes you write the country and city. It is best to unify the city and the country (line 142, 144, 147, 151).

Line 144-154 do not put a space before the Certius degree

How long the product was separated on the gel is missing. One percent gel seems to have poor resolution for RFLP products.

Line 162 lost space [8]

Photos of the gel - the waves visible in the photos make it difficult to see the size of  bands. It is not known whether it is a different size or a disruption in the chapter. (figs. 4 and 5)

Fig. 7 - you should change. There is no clear scale. Both photos should be the same size.

disk: line 245-253 to linia which are repeating results. Line 255-267 - this is the fragment above which you can think whether it is an introduction.
