Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I would suggest the authors use a free grammar app called Grammarly. In addition, the formatting throughout the paper was problematic and in the future, some basic video tutorials on using Word will be of great benefit.  Please see the comments and the many suggested edits.

The subject matter is very important and the authors have raised a key topic that needs resolution.

Moderate English changes required

-We would like to thank the reviewer for having raised this point. The paper has been formatted and than reviewed by an English language translator in order to minimize the presence of grammatical and spelling mistakes.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear Editor and authors,

Firstly, I thank you for my consideration as a reviewer of this manuscript. It is my pleasure to contribute to Uro.

I shall now make my comments:

In the abstract section, it is recommended to check punctuation marks (ex. “Analyzing the data., sex…”)

The introduction section is too brief. The authors should include up-to-date cites. Moreover, it should justify sex education in a cultural project, for example, highlight the sexual health information in the educational area.

Concerning participants, it is recommended to indicate whether all participants answered in 2019, and in 2020 too.

Another question about participants is if all of them were sexually active or if age should have a role in the sexual behavior. Maybe, these variables should be controlled and considered to the result of Tabla 3. Moreover, previous evidence indicates gender differences in sexual behavior.  Maybe, the results should be compared between men and women.

More discussion about the results is recommended. For example, a possible explication about the change of source for information about sexuality after a year and an increase in the number of sexually active subjects and subjects with a stable partner. Maybe these results depend on age. Furthermore, if it is possible that an increase in the number of correct answers could be related to the course of sexual education. Another subject to discuss is if the author considers that these data may be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic?  The frequency of masturbation could be higher or sexual risk behavior could be lower.

Finally, it is recommended to highlight the conclusion of the results, what questions were considered more important to include in sexual health information.

I remain at the disposal of the journal and the authors.

We thanked the reviewer for the suggestion. We checked punctuation marks

The introduction section is too brief. The authors should include up-to-date cites. Moreover, it should justify sex education in a cultural project, for example, highlight the sexual health information in the educational area.

We thanked the reviewer. We have made the introduction more consistent and complete

Concerning participants, it is recommended to indicate whether all participants answered in 2019, and in 2020 too.

We thanked the reviewer for the suggestion. We added in the results the following period: “All the adolescents whose participated to the survey in 2019 completed the survey in 2020 and were enrolled in the study.”

We thanked the reviewer for the suggestion. Unfortunally the small number of the participant makes multivariate analysis impossible. However, it may be a good suggestion if the survey will be repurposed on a larger scale

We thanked the reviewer for the suggestion. We revised the discussion as required. Moreover, in our opinion the data were not affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

I consider that the manuscript has improved. The authors made the changes in the introduction, method, and discussion sections. However, they explained that it is no possible to control age and other sociodemographic variables or compared between men and women.
