Many systemic diseases may affect oral health. This may be a manifestation of the systemic disease itself or an indirect effect due to medical treatment of this disease. Conversely, oral health can also affect the functioning of other parts of the human body. Although many such interactions between systemic diseases and oral diseases have been described in the scientific literature, the causal relationship still often remains unclear. Therefore, in this webinar, international experts will discuss some examples of interactions between systemic diseases and oral health in depth in order to gain more insight into these interactions.
