To expand our offering to the artificial intelligence community, MDPI will be launching a broad-interest, high-quality, open access journal serving researchers in applied research and applications of artificial intelligence (AI). The journal will also act as a medium for exchanging ideas and thoughts about the impacts of AI research. MDPI is seeking to establish the founding Editorial Board to help develop, launch, and shape this new MDPI open access Journal, named AI.

We encourage applications from researchers with a background in a range of subject areas, broadly covered by the below:

• Pattern recognition
• Expert systems
• Robotics, artificial neural networks
• Genetic algorithm
• Natural language processing
• Automated reasoning
• Data mining
• Artificial intelligence and philosophy
• Automated reasoning and inference
• Cognitive aspects of AI
• Constraint processing
• High-level computer vision
• Intelligent interfaces
• Intelligent robotics
• Knowledge representation
• Machine learning
• Multiagent systems
• Natural language processing
• Planning and theories of action
• Reasoning under uncertainty or imprecision

As a member of the Editorial Board, you would have one or more of the following duties:

• to make decisions as to whether a manuscript can be accepted or not based on the reports we collect;
• to review a couple of papers per year;
• to guest-edit a Special Issue on a topic related to your research interests when it is convenient for you;
• to promote AI and increase its visibility at related academic conferences.

We welcome volunteers to the Editorial Board who support our mission, values, and commitment to providing a high-quality experience for our authors. We are most interested in active scientific researchers currently leading a research group, program, or agenda who have considerable prior experience in authoring and reviewing research articles.
