2020 Physics Travel Award: Winner Announced

It is our pleasure to announce the winner of the 2020 Physics Travel Award, which is sponsored by the open access journal Physics. The award has been granted to Dr. Harold Erbin.

Dr. Harold Erbin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi, Turin, Italy. His work encompasses theoretical physics and his research interests include string field theory, gravity, supergravity, and machine learning. He will present his work entitled “Localization of Effective Actions in Heterotic String Field Theory” at the Workshop on Fundamental Aspects of String Theory, which will be held in São Paulo and Natal, Brazil, 1–19 June 2020.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all applicants for their interest in this competition as well as to the Award Selection Committee for their incredible involvement in this difficult task. For this award, we evaluated many impressive candidates from all over the globe, and selecting only one among them was indeed very challenging. We would like to thank all of the applicants for what was, collectively, a range of diverse and fascinating research topics, and congratulate the winner for his accomplishment. Considering high level of contributions, all applicants are invited to submit a paper to Physics which will be considered for publication with no APC this year.
