Dr. Patricia K. Quinn Appointed Section Editor-in-Chief of Atmosphere

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Patricia K. Quinn has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the Section “Aerosols” of Atmosphere (ISSN 2073-4433). Her term started in April 2020.

Dr. Patricia K. Quinn received her Diploma from Reed College in 1982 and her Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1988. She has been a Senior Research Scientist at the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory since 1993 and an Associate Professor at the University of Washington since 1998.

Her research interests are mainly focused on the radiative effects of aerosols and the effects of aerosols on air quality. Her recent publications are listed below:

Among her numerous appointments and activities, she received the NOAA Administrator Award in 2008; was named an AGU Fellow in 2010; received the U.S. Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award in 2010; and was a Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics) in 2016, 2017, and 2018. She is also Member of AAAR.
