Prof. Dr. Bellie Sivakumar’s term as Editor-in-Chief of Hydrology will officially end in July 2020 and we are now inviting applications to assume the position at this time.

Hydrology (ISSN 2306-5338) is an international, multi/interdisciplinary open access and peer-reviewed journal that focuses on hydrological sciences. It was launched in 2014 and has published more than 340 papers so far. These papers are deposited in the Web of Science by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), as well as being indexed for coverage in GeoRef and Scopus. In 2019, Hydrology received a CiteScore of 3.2. The journal encompasses all aspects of hydrology: groundwater, surface water, soil water and atmospheric water, as well as snow and ice. We encourage scientists to submit their original theoretical, field, experimental and numerical studies and literature reviews, and we especially look forward to seeing multidisciplinary approaches and interdisciplinary topics, which cross the typical boundaries of our science.

The Editor-in-Chief has the final responsibility for editorial decisions regarding all content in the journal, as well as developing and implementing the strategic vision for the journal.

Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

• Refine the journal’s aims and scopes;
• Invite additional scientists to join the Editorial Board;
• Oversee the editorial process, with a main responsbility being making the final decision on whether a paper can be published after peer-review and revisions.

Additionally, you may invite a Co-Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors if you are inclined to accept the position but need to share the workload.
