Affiliation between Medical Mycological Society of the Americas (MMSA) and the Journal of Fungi (JoF)

In August 2020, the Medical Mycological Society of the Americas (MMSA) chose the Journal of Fungi (JoF) as its preferred journal and became an affiliated society member of the journal. As part of this collaboration, all affiliated MMSA members enjoy a discount on the article processing charges (APC) when submitting articles to the JoF.

The mission of the Medical Mycological Society of the Americas (MMSA) is [1] to promote medical mycology as a flourishing and distinct division of medical microbiology, [2] to unite all medical mycologists under a central organization that will recognize their needs and represent their interests, [3] to encourage fellowship among its members, and [4] to provide recognition to distinguished medical mycologists at all stages of careers through sponsored awards.

JoF provides an advanced forum for studies related to pathogenic fungi, fungal biology, and all other aspects of fungal research. The journal publishes reviews, regular research papers, and communications in quarterly issues. The journal is covered by leading indexing services, including the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), Scopus and other relevant databases.

JoF is looking forward to a very fruitful collaboration with the MMSA.
