Section Editor in Chief Vacancy: Several Sections of Healthcare

Healthcare (ISSN 2227-9032) is an international, scientific, peer-reviewed, open access journal on health care systems, industry, technology, policy, and regulation, and is published quarterly online by MDPI. It is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)—Web of Science, from Vol. 5. and is to be covered in Scopus. Citations are available in PubMed, and have been full-text archived in PubMed Central.

To ensure the efficient and high-quality production of our journal, we have added several sections and are currently seeking nominations and applications for the position of Section Editor in Chief (SEiC) for the following sections:

Chronic Care

Community Care

Environmental Factors and Global Health

Forensic Medicine

Health Assessments

Health Policy

Medication Management

Pain Management

School Health

Women Health

If you are researcher in a related field and are passionate about participating in the publication of cutting-edge research, please do not hesitate to get in touch about joining the Editorial Board.

The main responsibilities of the Editor in Chief are as follows:

  • Decision making (with the Editor in Chief) concerning the section's aims and scopes;
  • Recommending hot topics and suggesting potential guest dditors;
  • Inviting distinguished scientists to join the Section Editorial Board;
  • Overview of the editorial process (mainly making the final decision as to whether a paper can be published after peer review and revisions);
  • Promoting Healthcare and increasing its visibility at related academic conferences.

Applicants must have strong, relevant experience in their capacities as an author, reviewer, and/or associate editor of related journals. The applicant must also be well recognized in related areas of expertise. The chosen SEiC will be responsible for defining the scope and orientation of the Section, working with the editorial board, and overseeing the editorial process.

Applications or nominations must include:

  • A complete curriculum vitae (CV);
  • A personal statement summarizing a proposed vision and plans for this section.
