Symmetry Reaches 5000 Article Milestone

Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world. Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

Symmetry (ISSN 2073-8994), MDPI’s open-access journal covering research on symmetry phenomena wherever they occur in mathematical and scientific studies, has published more than 5,000 papers since its inception in 2009. On behalf of the editorial team, we would like to express our gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Sergei D. Odintsov; all Section Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members; as well as to the Guest Editors of Special Issues, Topics Board Members, and Reviewer Board Members who have ensured the continued success of the journal through their hard work and diligence.
Symmetry is now covered in the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), Scopus, and other databases. The latest Impact Factor of 2019 is 2.645. The CiteScore of Symmetry (2019 Scopus data) is 2.5, which coresponds to rank 55/368 (Q1) in ‘’Mathematics’’, 25/64 (Q2) in ‘’Computer Science’’, 25/54 (Q2) in ‘’Physics and Astronomy’’, and 17/31 (Q3) in ‘’Chemistry’’.
