Materials receives its first impact factor of 1.677

Thomson Reuters has released the 2011 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), including an impressive first impact factor of 1.677 for Materials.
Professor Maryam Tabrizian, the Editor-in-Chief, proudly says "It is my great pleasure to announce that the Open Access Journal Materials has received an Impact Factor of 1.677. This impact factor represents the journal community`s achievements in publishing high quality scientific papers. To date, Materials has published over 555 articles with 629 citations in 2011 and more than 2.5 million views since 2009 making Materials one of the fastest growing journals in the materials science and engineering.
