Recruiting Topic Editors for Minerals

Minerals (ISSN 2075-163X; CODEN: MBSIBI) is an international open access journal published monthly online by MDPI that covers the broad field of mineralogy, economic mineral resources, mineral exploration, innovative mining techniques and advances in mineral processing. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible.

Minerals publishes reviews, regular research papers, communications, and short notes relevant to any field of study that involves minerals, with respect to their science and application. It is abstracted and indexed by SCIE, Scopus, and other databases. The IF for Minerals for 2019 was 2.380. For more information about Minerals, please visit: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/minerals.

As the Topic Editor, the main responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Periodically leading Special Issues related to your research field;
  2. Suggesting new topics, and recommending or inviting other scholars to serve as Guest Editors;
  3. Supervising the editorial process, for example, pre-screening submissions and making final decisions on papers;
  4. Reviewing manuscripts related to your research interests;
  5. Promoting Minerals at conferences that you attend or organize.

The following benefits are available to Topic Editors of Minerals:

  1. Publish one paper free of charge per year in the Special Issues you supervise, and special discounts of CHF 200 for the papers you invite;
  2. Discounts of CHF 400 for your paper in the Special Issues you recommend;
  3. Apply for a travel grant if you lead a successful Special Issue and would like to promote it at conferences.
