We are pleased to announce that Dr. Pedram Sendi has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the section “Health Policy” in Healthcare (ISSN 2227-9032).
Dr. Pedram Sendi is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Clinical Epidemiology at the University Hospital Basel and holds an MD degree and DMD degree from the University of Basel in Switzerland. In addition, he has a PhD in Health Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He has extensively published in Health Services Research with over 100 scientific articles, mostly on health economic issues in medicine and dentistry. He is particularly interested in methodological issues related to health economic evaluations, such as methods to handle uncertainty in economic evaluation or the decision rules of cost-effectiveness analysis, and has contributed to the methods literature in this area.
The “Health Policy” section of Healthcare focuses on all aspects of health policy and health services research, including quantitative and qualitative research. In particular, issues related to health–economic evaluations and outcomes research, in terms of both methods and applied studies, are welcome. This section of Healthcare strives to become a broad and comprehensive forum that discusses and analyzes issues in a world where the scarcity of health care resources is becoming ever more prevalent, and thus contributes to informing the broader and more specialized audience involved in health policy decisions.
We warmly welcome Dr. Sendi as the Editor-in-Chief of the section “Health Policy”, and we look forward to Healthcare reaching many milestones under his leadership.
