Prof. Dr. Graham Pawelec and Prof. Dr. Mark Tully Appointed Founding Editors-in-Chief of the Journal of Ageing and Longevity

We are honoured and pleased to announce the appointment of Founding Editors-in-Chief for the new Journal of Ageing and Longevity

Prof. Dr. Graham Pawelec received an MA in Natural Sciences and a Ph.D. in Transplantation Immunology from the University of Cambridge, UK. He is currently a Professor of Experimental Immunology in the Department of Immunology, University of Tübingen, Tübingen, Germany, and is a member of the Cancer Solutions Program at the Health Sciences North Research Institute of Canada, Sudbury, ON, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, a Visiting Professor at Nottingham Trent University, UK, and King’s College London, UK, and holds an Honorary Chair at Manchester University, UK. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Immunity and Ageing and Associate Editor for Mechanisms of Aging and Development and the Journal for the Immunotherapy of Cancer. His research interests are centred on cancer immunotherapy, immune monitoring, vaccination, and how this is affected by immune ageing in humans. 

Prof. Dr. Mark Tully is a Professor of Public Health at Ulster University and Director of the Institute of Mental Health Sciences at Ulster University, Northern Ireland. He received a BSc in biomedical science and a Ph.D. in public health from Queen’s University, Belfast. Professor Tully’s research focuses on addressing population levels of physical inactivity and sedentary behaviour, which are major causes of poor physical and mental wellbeing. His research includes interventions targeting older adults and socio-economically disadvantaged communities. In addition, he is interested in the effects of changes in the built environment on behaviours. 

We warmly welcome Prof. Dr. Graham Pawelec and Prof. Dr. Mark Tully as the Founding Editors-in-Chief of the Journal of Ageing and Longevity and look forward to the new journal achieving many milestones under their leadership.
