Recruiting Editorial Board Members for Journal of Functional Biomaterials

The Journal of Functional Biomaterials (JFB, ISSN 2079-4983) is currently recruiting Editorial Board Members for the following 9 Sections:

We are currently recruiting Editorial Board Members (EBMs) for the above-mentioned Sections. Our current Board Members can be seen here, and the aim and scope of our journal can be viewed here. In October 2021, our journal was accepted for coverage in Science Citation Indexed Expanded (SCIE) in the Web of Science. It is also indexed within Scopus, PubMed, and many other databases. The first impact factor for this journal will be announced by July 2022. Its CiteScore in the 2020 Scopus data was 7.3, and it was ranked Q1 in the category of "Biomedical Engineering". The responsibilities of an Editorial Board Member (EBM) include the following:

  • Making decisions on whether a manuscript can be accepted, based on the peer-reviewed reports that the Editorial Office collects;
  • Editing a Special Issue on a topic related to your research interests when you are available;
  • Promoting JFB and increasing its visibility on social media periodically or at related academic conferences.

The benefits of becoming an Editorial Board Member (EBM) include the following:

  • The opportunity to publish one paper, free of charge, per year in JFB, as well as certain discounts for papers invited from your scientific network;
  • A certificate recognizing you as an Editorial Board Member of JFB;
  • JFB may offer sponsorship for conferences organized by you;
  • JFB may offer travel grants of CHF 300–500 per year for conferences that you attend or organize.
