We are very pleased to announce that the Journal of Risk and Financial Management (JRFM) will be published by MDPI in full open access, commencing 1 October 2013. The journal was initially launched in 2008 by Prof. Dr. Raymond A. K. Cox and published by Prof. Dr. Alan Wong online in one yearly volume (see: www.jrfm.us). Going forward, MDPI will publish the journal, with the next issue expected to be released end of December 2013, and subsequently published in quarterly issues starting 2014. Submissions to JRFM for well-prepared manuscripts in 2013 and 2014 will be published free of charge.
Further, we are delighted that Prof. Dr. Michael McAleer will continue to act as the Editor-in-Chief for the journal. With his vast experience and expertise in the field of finance and risk management, he is ideally suited to oversee the journal and with the support of the Advisory and Editorial Board, increase the profile and prominence of the journal further. We are confident that JRFM will shortly become an invaluable resource to those working in the field of finance and the wider scientific community.
Further details on the aims and scope of the journal can be found in the editorial of the journal, see: https://www.mdpi.com/1911-8074/6/1/1.
