Nanomaterials Webinar | Manufacturing of Nanoparticles and Nanostructured Films by Physical Methods for Industrial Applications, Held on 27 April 2023

On 27 April 2023, MDPI and the journal Nanomaterials (ISSN: 2079-4991) organized a webinar Manufacturing of Nanoparticles and Nanostructured Films by Physical Methods for Industrial Applications. This webinar focused on the fabrication of nanomaterials by physical methods, addressing the need to produce them in large areas or quantities for their application in various fields, such as biomedicine, energy, environmental protection, ICT, and aerospace, with a focus on how nanostructured films and nanoparticles can be produced at room temperature, with moderate energy consumption, and in relatively large areas or quantities.

The webinar featured three distinguished speakers with extensive expertise in the field. Dr. Alberto Palmero presented on the preparation of nanocolumnar films in large areas using magnetron sputtering. Dr. Lidia Martínez discussed the fabrication of nanoparticles using gas aggregation sources based on sputtering. Finally, Dr. Grégory Guisbiers demonstrated the preparation of nanoparticles by laser ablation in liquids.
