MDPI Moves to New Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland

We are excited to announce that MDPI is consolidating its operations by moving its headquarters to a new location within the city of Basel, Switzerland. This move brings together our two previously separated offices into one central, state-of-the-art facility.

New Address: Grosspeteranlage 5, CH-4052 Basel

Effective Date: 1 July, 2024

The decision to move to this new location is driven by our commitment to providing a more collaborative and efficient working environment for our headquarters. By uniting our two offices in Basel, we aim to improve collaboration, enhance communication, and streamline our operations to support innovation and strategic growth, ultimately benefit our authors, partners, and employees.

On 28 June, 2024, we celebrated the opening of our new headquarters with a special event attended by our Basel employees. The event was highlighted by a speech from MDPI founder and president Dr. Shu-Kun Lin, who emphasized the importance of this new chapter in our company’s journey and reiterated his vision to position MDPI as a leader in open access publishing, highlighting our commitment to making scholarly research accessible to everyone.

Our new headquarters boasts modern amenities and improved meeting and event spaces designed to support our growing needs and aspirations. Additionally, this location offers excellent accessibility to public transportation and is situated near the Basel SBB railway station with a variety of nearby services and amenities.

This move marks a significant milestone in MDPI’s growth and development and we are confident that the new headquarters will serve as an inspiring and productive space for all.

We look forward to continuing our journey together from our new headquarters. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for more information about the relocation.

Thank you for your continued support.
