We are delighted to announce that Kasetsart University, Thailand, is now a participant in the MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP). This marks Kasetsart University as MDPI’s first local partner since the launch of our Bangkok Office.

As part of this agreement, authors affiliated with Kasetsart University will benefit from a 10% discount on article processing charges (APCs) across all MDPI journals. Additionally, the university will have access to our online submission system (SuSy) where they can find full article metadata and pricing information, providing easy identification and additional transparency. We hope that researchers at Kasetsart University find the program beneficial, as it will enhance the visibility and accessibility of their scholarly work.

The agreement was signed following conversations between the MDPI Bangkok Office and key representatives from Kasetsart University, including Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and Internationalization, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apisit Songsasen, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization, Ms. Supannee Hongthong, Director of the Office of the University Library, as well as the university and the university library management team. Both parties look forward to exploring further opportunities for collaboration, including but not limited to author training, journal publishing, conferences, media partnerships, and recruitment initiatives.

We are pleased to offer the benefits of our IOAP agreement to other institutions seeking a streamlined and efficient publishing process.
