What is a Reprint?

A Reprint is a reproduction of a journal article or collection of articles.

MDPI Books offers the opportunity to produce reproductions of articles previously published with MDPI in book format. Currently, we offer two types of Reprints:

  • Special Issue/Topical Collection/Topic/Proceedings Reprints and
  • Selections.

Important: Reprints are not traditional 'books'. They are, however, assigned an ISBN and DOI and are freely available in our Library. Selections are not assigned an ISBN or DOI and are not stored in our Library.
