Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases in children include a wide range of various disorders involving the immune system that spread throughout different body systems. Historically regarded as autoimmune and more recently autoinflammatory, this heterogenous group is characterized by various manifestations, from systemic to organ-specific. Therefore, the aim of this Special Issue is to gather state-of-the-art basic, translational, and clinical topics associated with the mechanisms, manifestations, biomarkers, outcomes, and treatments of pediatric immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. This could be systemic diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and various forms of vasculitis, diagnosed by pediatric rheumatologists, but also those that are more organ-specific, such as various forms of glomerulonephritis, inflammatory bowel disease, or even uveitis, diagnosed by pediatric nephrologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, and other specialists. Original research articles, reviews, and systematic reviews are encouraged to be submitted to this Special Issue. Case reports describing rare diseases will also be considered.
