Best Paper Award
Fibers established the Best Paper Award to recognize its best published articles.
Nominations were selected by the Editorial Office of Fibers based on the number of citations in 2017–2018 from the website with all research articles published in 2017 eligible for consideration.
The selection committee is chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Martin J. D. Clift, and supported by Prof. Dr. Alain Dufresne and Dr. Francesco Bencardino. They examined each paper and have expressed their preferences in the ranking of the “Fibers Best Paper Award” 2017.

This paper is valuable contribution to Fibers. On behalf of the Fibers Best Paper Award Committee and the Editorial Board of Fibers, I congratulate the winners for their significant contributions and thank them for choosing to publish their best work in Fibers. In recognition of their accomplishments, Dr. Sanjib C. Chowdhury will be awarded the privilege of publishing an additional research paper, with all publication fees waived, in Open Access format in Fibers, after the standard peer-review procedure.
