Travel Award

Dear Colleagues,

As the Editor-in-Chief of Informatics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Informatics Travel Award.

The members of the Evaluation Committee were very impressed with the high level of work presented, and after careful consideration, the Travel Award has been granted to Ms. Ramya Rangan, a Ph.D. student at Stanford University, Stanford, USA, who is focusing on developing improved methods for predicting and designing RNA structures.

The winner will receive 800 Swiss Francs to be used to attend the International RNA Society conference, 11–16 June 2019, in Krakow, Poland.

It was a difficult decision, given the exceptional quality of more than 50 applications for the awards. On behalf of the award committee, I would like to thank all applicants and to congratulate Ms. Ramya Rangan for her accomplishments.
