Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The world is facing new challenges inherent to the growing and aging population of adult survivors with congenital heart disease. The International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ISACHD) is a leading global organization dedicated to pursuing excellence in the care of this population. This Special Issue seeks to highlight the current status, major challenges, priorities, and future directions involving adult congenital heart disease care, education, and research across the globe. Regional representatives and working group leaders from the ISACHD are invited to provide an overview of the advances and challenges in their respective areas of interest. Topics to be covered include epidemiological characteristics of the ACHD population, national/regional infrastructures, professional organizations, models of ACHD care, education and training, research, major meetings, challenges, and future directions.
