Dear Colleagues,
Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and optical sensors have revolutionized the field of measurement and sensing technologies. Sensors invites researchers and practitioners to contribute to a Special Issue dedicated to the advancements and applications of FBGs and optical sensors in diverse domains.
Scope and Topics of Interest:
This Special Issue “Fiber Bragg Gratings-Based Sensors for Optical Measurement” invites original research articles, reviews, and short communications in the following areas (but not limited to):
- Design, fabrication, and characterization of FBGs;
- Novel FBG writing techniques and materials;
- FBG-based sensors for structural health monitoring;
- FBG sensors for temperature, strain, and displacement measurements;
- Optical sensing in harsh environments and extreme conditions;
- Hybrid and multiplexed FBG sensors for simultaneous measurements;
- Distributed optical fiber sensing systems;
- FBG-based sensors for biomedical and healthcare applications;
- FBG-based chemical and gas sensors;
- Real-time monitoring and data analysis techniques;
- Super-structured FBGs.
