Multi-UAV cooperative missions demand millisecond-level coordination across three key resource dimensions—battery energy, wireless bandwidth, and onboard computing power—where traditional Min or linearly weighted schedulers struggle to balance safety with efficiency. We propose a prediction-enhanced two-stage T-norm–Choquet–OWA resource aggregator. First, an LSTM-EMA model forecasts resource trajectories 3 s ahead; next, a first-stage T-norm (min) pinpoints the bottleneck resource, and a second-stage Choquet–OWA, driven by an adaptive interaction measure ϕ, elastically compensates according to instantaneous power usage, achieving a “bottleneck-first, efficiency-recovery” coordination strategy. Theoretical analysis establishes monotonicity, tight bounds, bottleneck prioritization, and Lyapunov stability, with node-level complexity of only O(1). In joint simulations involving 360 UAVs, the method holds the average round-trip time (RTT) at 55 ms, cutting latency by 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% relative to Min, DRL-PPO, single-layer OWA, and WSM, respectively. Jitter remains within 11 ms, the packet-loss rate stays below 0.03%, and residual battery increases by about 12% over the best heuristic baseline. These results confirm the low-latency, high-stability benefits of the prediction-based peak-shaving plus two-stage fuzzy aggregation approach for large-scale UAV swarms. Full article

The large-scale trajectory simulation serves as a fundamental basis for the mission planning of a rocket-powered vehicle swarm. However, the traditional flight trajectory calculation method for a rocket-powered vehicle, which employs strict dynamic and kinematic models, often struggles to meet the temporal requirements of mission planning. To address the challenges of timely computation and intelligent optimization, a segmented training strategy, derived from the domain knowledge of the multi-stage flight characteristics of a rocket-powered vehicle, is integrated into the deep neural network (DNN) method. A high-precision trajectory prediction model that fuses multi-DNN is proposed, which can rapidly generate high-precision trajectory data without depending on accurate dynamic models. Based on the determination of the characteristic parameters derived from rocket-powered trajectory theory, a homemade dataset is constructed through a traditional computation method and utilized to train the DNN model. Extensive and varying numerical simulations are given to substantiate the predictive accuracy, adaptability, and stability of the proposed DNN-based method, and the corresponding comparative tests further demonstrate the effectiveness of the segmented strategy. Additionally, the real-time computational capability is also confirmed by computing the simulation of generating full trajectory data. Full article

The swift growth of the low-altitude economic ecosystem and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarm applications across diverse sectors presents significant challenges for engineering managers in terms of effective performance evaluation and operational optimization. Traditional evaluation methods often struggle with the inherent complexities, dynamic nature, and multi-faceted performance criteria of UAV swarms. This study introduces a novel Bayesian Network (BN)-based multicriteria decision-making framework that systematically integrates expert intuition with real-time data. By employing variance decomposition, the framework establishes theoretically grounded, bidirectional mapping between expert-assigned weights and the network’s probabilistic parameters, creating a unified model of subjective expertise and objective data. Comprehensive validation demonstrates the framework’s efficacy in identifying critical performance drivers, including environmental awareness, communication ability, and a collaborative decision. Ultimately, our work provides engineering managers with a transparent and adaptive tool, offering actionable insights to inform resource allocation, guide technology adoption, and enhance the overall operational effectiveness of complex UAV swarm systems. The increasing integration of renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic (PV) systems, into power grids presents challenges in maintaining frequency stability due to the absence of traditional mechanical inertia. This paper proposes a hybrid control strategy combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to provide Adaptive Virtual Inertia Control for frequency stability in multi-microgrid PV systems. The proposed system dynamically adjusts virtual inertia and damping parameters in response to real-time grid conditions and frequency deviations. The PSO algorithm optimizes the base inertia and damping parameters offline, while the RL algorithm fine-tunes these parameters online by learning from the system’s performance. The adaptive control mechanism effectively mitigates frequency fluctuations and enhances grid synchronization, ensuring stable operation even under varying power generation and load conditions. The hybrid PSO–RL controller demonstrates a superior performance, maintaining a frequency close to nominal (50.02 Hz), with the fastest settling time (0.10 s), minimal RoCoF (0.2 Hz/s), and effectively zero steady-state error. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the hybrid control approach, showing fast and accurate frequency regulation with minimal power quality degradation. The system’s ability to adapt in real time provides a promising solution for next-generation smart grids that rely on renewable energy sources. Full article

To address the inefficiencies of traditional numerical simulations and the high cost of experimental validation in the aerodynamic–stealth integrated design of S-shaped inlets for aero-engines, this study proposes a novel parameter prediction model based on a fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering and nonlinear dynamic adaptive particle swarm optimization-enhanced radial basis function neural network (NDAPSO-RBFNN). The FCM algorithm is applied to reduce the feature dimensionality of aerodynamic parameters and determine the optimal hidden layer structure of the RBF network using clustering validity indices. Meanwhile, the NDAPSO algorithm introduces a three-stage adaptive inertia weight mechanism to balance global exploration and local exploitation effectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed model significantly improves training efficiency and generalization capability. Specifically, the model achieves a root mean square error (RMSE) of 3.81×108 on the training set and 8.26×108 on the test set, demonstrating robust predictive accuracy. Furthermore, 98.3% of the predicted values fall within the y=x±3β confidence interval (β=1.2×107). Compared with traditional PSO-RBF models, the number of iterations of NDAPSO-RBF network is lower, the single prediction time of NDAPSO-RBF network is shorter, and the number of calls to the standard deviation of the NDAPSO-RBF network is lower. These results indicate that the proposed model not only provides a reliable and efficient surrogate modeling method for complex inlet flow fields but also offers a promising approach for real-time multi-objective aerodynamic–stealth optimization in aerospace applications. As the global manufacturing industry’s transformation accelerates toward being intelligent, “unmanned”, and low-carbon, manufacturing workshops face conflicts between production schedules and transportation tasks, leading to low efficiency and resource waste. This paper presents a multi-agent collaborative scheduling optimization method based on a hybrid game–genetic framework to address issues like high AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) idle rates, excessive energy consumption, and uncoordinated equipment scheduling. The method establishes a trinity system integrating distributed decision-making, dynamic coordination, and environment awareness. In this system, the multi-agent decision-making and collaboration process exhibits significant symmetry characteristics. All agents (machine agents, mobile agents, etc.) follow unified optimization criteria and interaction rules, forming a dynamically balanced symmetric scheduling framework in resource competition and collaboration, which ensures fairness and consistency among different agents in task allocation, path planning, and other links. An improved best-response dynamic algorithm is employed in the decision-making layer to solve the multi-agent Nash equilibrium, while the genetic optimization layer enhances the global search capability by encoding scheduling schemes and adjusting crossover/mutation probabilities using dynamic competition factors. The coordination pivot layer updates constraints in real time based on environmental sensing, forming a closed-loop optimization mechanism. Experimental results show that, compared with the traditional genetic algorithm (TGA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO), the proposed method reduces the maximum completion time by 54.5% and 44.4% in simple scenarios and 57.1% in complex scenarios, the AGV idling rate by 68.3% in simple scenarios and 67.5%/77.6% in complex scenarios, and total energy consumption by 15.7%/10.9% in simple scenarios and 25%/18.2% in complex scenarios. This validates the method’s effectiveness in improving resource utilization and energy efficiency, providing a new technical path for intelligent scheduling in manufacturing workshops. Meanwhile, its symmetric multi-agent collaborative framework also offers a reference for the application of symmetry in complex manufacturing system optimization. Full article

The multi-strategy optimized dream optimization algorithm (MSDOA) is proposed to address the challenges of inadequate search capability, slow convergence, and susceptibility to local optima in intelligent optimization algorithms applied to UAV three-dimensional path planning, aiming to enhance the global search efficiency and accuracy of UAV path planning algorithms in 3D environments. First, the algorithm utilizes Bernoulli chaotic mapping for population initialization to widen individual search ranges and enhance population diversity. Subsequently, an adaptive perturbation mechanism is incorporated during the exploration phase along with a lens imaging reverse learning strategy to update the population, thereby improving the exploration ability and accelerating convergence while mitigating premature convergence. Lastly, an Adaptive Individual-level Mixed Strategy (AIMS) is developed to conduct a more flexible search process and enhance the algorithm’s global search capability. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated through simulation experiments using the CEC2017 benchmark test functions. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm achieves superior optimization accuracy, faster convergence speed, and enhanced robustness compared to other swarm intelligence algorithms. Specifically, MSDOA ranks first on 28 out of 29 benchmark functions in the CEC2017 test suite, demonstrating its outstanding global search capability and conver-gence performance. Furthermore, UAV path planning simulation experiments conducted across multiple scenario models show that MSDOA exhibits stronger adaptability to complex three-dimensional environments. In the most challenging scenario, compared to the standard DOA, MSDOA reduces the best cost function fitness by 9% and decreases the average cost function fitness by 12%, thereby generating more efficient, smoother, and higher-quality flight paths. Coordinating Multi-Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) swarms in complex, adversarial maritime environments is a significant challenge, as existing multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) methods often fail to capture intricate spatiotemporal dependencies, leading to suboptimal policies. To address this, we propose Adv-TransAC, a novel Spatio-Temporal Meta-Reinforcement Learning framework. Its core innovation is a hybrid GAT-transformer architecture that decouples spatial and temporal reasoning: a Graph Attention Network (GAT) models instantaneous tactical formations, while a transformer analyzes their temporal evolution to infer intent. This is combined with an adversarial meta-learning mechanism to enable rapid adaptation to opponent tactics. In high-fidelity escort and defense simulations, Adv-TransAC significantly outperforms state-of-the-art MARL baselines in task success rate and policy robustness. The learned policies demonstrate the emergence of complex cooperative behaviors, such as intelligent risk-aware coordination and proactive interception maneuvers. The framework’s practicality is further validated by a communication-efficient federated optimization architecture. By effectively modeling spatiotemporal dynamics and enabling rapid adaptation, Adv-TransAC provides a powerful solution that moves beyond reactive decision-making, establishing a strong foundation for next-generation, intelligent maritime platforms. High-precision satellite clock bias (SCB) prediction is essential for GNSS applications, including real-time precise point positioning (RT-PPP), Earth observation, planetary exploration, and spaceborne geodetic missions. However, during communication outages or when real-time SCB products are unavailable, RT-PPP may fail due to missing clock corrections. This underscores the necessity of reliable short-term SCB prediction in data-denied environments. To address this challenge, a hybrid model that integrates wavelet transform, a particle swarm optimization-enhanced gray model, and a first-order weighted local method is proposed for short-term SCB prediction. First, the novel model employs the db1 wavelet to perform three-level multi-resolution decomposition and single-branch reconstruction on preprocessed SCB, yielding one trend term and three detailed terms. Second, the particle swarm optimization algorithm is adopted to globally optimize the parameters of the traditional gray model to avoid falling into local optima, and the optimization-enhanced gray model is applied to predict the trend term. For the three detailed terms, the embedding dimension and time delay are calculated, and they are constructed in phase space to establish a first-order weighted local model for prediction. Third, the final SCB prediction is obtained by summing the predicted results of the trend term and the three detailed terms correspondingly. The BDS-3 SCB products from the GNSS Analysis Center of Wuhan University (WHU) are selected for experiments. Results indicate that the proposed model surpasses conventional linear polynomial (LP), quadratic polynomial (QP), gray model (GM), and Legendre (Leg.) polynomial models. The average precision and stability improvements reach (80.00, 79.16, 82.14, and 72.22) % and (36.36, 41.67, 41.67, and 61.11) % for 30 min prediction, (79.31, 78.57, 80.65, and 76.92) % and (44.44, 44.44, 47.37, and 74.36) % for 60 min prediction, and the average precision of the predicted SCB products is better than 0.20 ns and 0.21 ns for 30 min and 60 min, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed model exhibits strong robustness and is less affected by changes in clock types and the amount of modeling data. Therefore, in practical applications, the short-term SCB products predicted by the novel model are fully capable of satisfying the requirements of centimeter-level RT-PPP for clock bias precision. Urban rail transit (URT) systems are essential to ensuring efficient and sustainable urban mobility. However, the core components of operational planning, service frequency setting, train timetabling, and train allocation are often optimized separately, leading to fragmented decision-making and suboptimal system performance. This study addresses that gap by proposing an integrated optimization framework that simultaneously considers all three planning layers under time-dependent passenger demand conditions. The problem is formulated as a bi-objective Integer Nonlinear Programming (INLP) model, aiming to jointly minimize passenger waiting time and total operational cost. To solve this large-scale, combinatorial problem, a tailored Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) algorithm is developed. The algorithm incorporates discrete variable handling, constraint-preserving mechanisms, and a customized encoding scheme that aligns with the structural characteristics of URT operations. The proposed framework is applied to real-world data from the Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit (AALRT) system. The results demonstrate that the MOPSO-based approach offers a more diverse and operationally feasible set of trade-off solutions compared to a widely used benchmark algorithm, NSGA-II. Specifically, it provides transit planners with a flexible decision-support tool capable of identifying schedules that balance service quality and cost, based on varying strategic or budgetary priorities. By integrating interdependent planning decisions into a unified model and leveraging the strengths of a customized metaheuristic algorithm, this study contributes a scalable, adaptable, and practically relevant methodology for improving the performance of urban rail systems. The main purpose of this paper is to explore the benefits of combining two radio interfaces onboard an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to communicate with a ground control station (GCS) and other UAVs inside a swarm. The goals are to use the IEEE 802.11ah standard (Wi-Fi HaLow) combined with the IEEE 802.11ax specification (Wi-Fi 6/6E) to enable real-time video transmission from UAVs to the GCS. While airport runway inspection serves as the proof-of-concept use case, the proposed multi-hop architectures apply to other medium-range UAV operations (i.e., a few kilometers) requiring real-time video transmission, such as natural disaster relief and agricultural monitoring. Several scenarios in which a UAV swarm performs infrastructure inspection are emulated. During the missions, UAVs have to send real-time video to the GCS through a multi-hop network when some damage in the infrastructure is found. The different scenarios are studied by means of emulation. Emulated scenarios are defined using different network architectures and radio technologies. Once the emulations finish, different performance metrics related to time, energy and the multi-hop video transmission network are analyzed. The capacity of a multi-hop network is a limiting factor for the transmission of high-quality video. As a first contribution, an expression to find this capacity from distances between UAVs in the emulated scenario is found using the NS-3 simulator. Then, this expression is applied in the algorithms in charge of composing the multi-hop network to offer on-demand quality video. However, the main contribution of this work lies in the development of efficient mechanisms for exchanging control information between UAVs and the GCS, and for forming a multi-hop network to transmit video. The widespread adoption of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in civilian domains, such as airport security and critical infrastructure protection, has introduced significant safety risks that necessitate effective countermeasures. High-Energy Laser Systems (HELSs) offer a promising defensive solution; however, when confronting large-scale malicious UAV swarms, the Dynamic Resource Target Assignment (DRTA) problem becomes critical. To address the challenges of complex combinatorial optimization problems, a method combining precise physical models with multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) is proposed. Firstly, an environment-dependent HELS damage model was developed. This model integrates atmospheric transmission effects and thermal effects to precisely quantify the required irradiation time to achieve the desired damage effect on a target. This forms the foundation of the HELS–UAV–DRTA model, which employs a two-stage dynamic assignment structure designed to maximize the target priority and defense benefit. An innovative MADDPG-IA (I: intrinsic reward, and A: attention mechanism) algorithm is proposed to meet the MARL challenges in the HELS–UAV–DRTA problem: an attention mechanism compresses variable-length target states into fixed-size encodings, while a Random Network Distillation (RND)-based intrinsic reward module delivers dense rewards that alleviate the extreme reward sparsity. Large-scale scenario simulations (100 independent runs per scenario) involving 50 UAVs and 5 HELS across diverse environments demonstrate the method’s superiority, achieving mean damage rates of 99.65% ± 0.32% vs. 72.64% ± 3.21% (rural), 79.37% ± 2.15% vs. 51.29% ± 4.87% (desert), and 91.25% ± 1.78% vs. 67.38% ± 3.95% (coastal). The method autonomously evolved effective strategies such as delaying decision-making to await the optimal timing and cross-region coordination. The ablation and comparison experiments further confirm MADDPG-IA’s superior convergence, stability, and exploration capabilities. This work bridges the gap between complex mathematical and physical mechanisms and real-time collaborative decision optimization. It provides an innovative theoretical and methodological basis for public-security applications. Full article

Borehole trajectory control is a fundamental task for directional well engineers. Now that there are inevitable errors about single-stand control in the field situation, it is difficult to deal with the complex underground problems in real time. In order to improve the efficiency of directional operation and the accuracy of wellbore trajectory control, this paper presents an improved Sparrow Search algorithm by integrating the multi-strategy model and Constant-Toolface models to calculate the single-stand control scheme for single-bent-housing motors in directional drilling. To evaluate the performance of the algorithm, the Particle Swarm algorithm, the Sparrow Search algorithm, and the improved Sparrow Search algorithm (LCSSA) are used to optimize the process parameters for each drilling, respectively. Numerical tests based on drilling data show that all three algorithms can predict the drilling parameters. In contrast, the LCSSA exhibits the fastest convergence and the smallest error after optimizing single-stand control, attaining an average convergence time of 0.08 s. It accurately back-calculated theoretical model parameters with high accuracy and met engineering requirements when applied to actual drilling data. In field applications, the LCSSA reduces the deviation from the planned trajectory by over 25%, restricting the deviation to within 0.005 m per stand; additionally the total drilling time was reduced by at least 18% compared to previous methods. The integration of the LCSSA with the drilling system significantly enhances drilling operations by optimizing trajectory accuracy and boosting efficiency and serves as an advanced tool for designing process parameters. Microseismic monitoring has become a critical technology for hydraulic fracturing in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, owing to its high temporal and spatial resolution. It plays a pivotal role in tracking fracture propagation and evaluating stimulation effectiveness. However, the automatic picking of first-arrival times and accurate source localization remain challenging under complex noise conditions, which constrain the reliability of fracture parameter inversion and reservoir assessment. To address these limitations, we propose a hybrid approach that combines optimized variational mode decomposition (OVMD), wavelet thresholding denoising (WTD), and an adaptive fractal box-counting dimension algorithm for enhanced first-arrival picking and source localization. Specifically, OVMD is first employed to adaptively decompose seismic signals and isolate noise-dominated components. Subsequently, WTD is applied in the multi-scale frequency domain to suppress residual noise. An adaptive fractal dimension strategy is then utilized to detect change points and accurately determine the first-arrival time. These results are used as inputs to a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for source localization. Both numerical simulations and laboratory experiments demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits high robustness and localization accuracy under severe noise conditions. It significantly outperforms conventional approaches such as short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and continuous wavelet transform (CWT). The proposed framework offers reliable technical support for dynamic fracture monitoring, detailed reservoir characterization, and risk mitigation in the development of unconventional reservoirs. A swarm intelligence optimization algorithm called white shark optimizer (WSO) has been proposed and successfully applied in regard to many aspects. In this paper, the location problem of sports facilities is regarded as a multi-objective problem, and the number of residents covered by sports facilities and the Weber problem are introduced as objective functions. A multi-objective white shark optimizer (MOWSO) is proposed, and MOWSO introduced an archived mechanism to store the non-dominated solutions obtained by the algorithm. When the Pareto solutions in the archive overflow, the solutions are removed by calculating the true distance of the Pareto optimal solution. The performance of the MOWSO is verified on CEC 2020 benchmark functions, and the results show that the proposed MOWSO is better than other algorithms in the diversity and distribution of solutions. The MOWSO is applied to solve the rural sports facilities location problem, and a variety of different sports facilities location schemes are obtained. It can provide a variety of options for the location of rural sports facilities, and promote the intelligent design of sports facilities. Full article
