Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

It looks like the authors reasonably addressed all of my suggestions.  I'm happy with the revised manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors present an major update to their BEAST2 package bdmm and underlying algorithm for inferring past population dynamics from phylogenetic trees. Importantly, the extended package now allows for larger datasets, which improves the precision of estimates/reconstructions and utility for users, while also improving on overall speed and performance. The authors have addressed all outstanding issues with their revised manuscript and rebuttal, and this reviewer has no specific comments.
