Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dearest Authors,

You've sensiby improved your work, however I'd suggest a further improve in references, considering particularly those 2017 and 2018.

an overall english minor check is required.

once these very minor issues wil be fixed, I'd suggest this work for publication.

I would like to thank reviewer 1 for his great work, we have added  publications of 2017 and 2018.

This manuscript is a resubmission of an earlier submission. The following is a list of the peer review reports and author responses from that submission.

Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This review manuscript describes about mucoadhesive hydrogels for drug delivery materials. But the reviewer can't find any novel scope or vision in this manuscript.

In title, Authors said " add second vision of optimising"  Pease show "second vision".

Biomedical application of hydeogel is stated in section 4 but it only shows hydrogel nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are not related with the mucoadhesive hydrogel.

Authors only showed pH responsive hydrogels but they are extentively reported. Not new and what is the second vision??

Reviewer 2 Report

Dearest Authors,

the transmucosal drug delivery is a topic of growing interest and hydrogels play surely a pivotal role. The work is an interesting review however references from the vast literature of the last 5 years are almost absent and must be considered.

Paper structure should be a bit more cleared in the introduction, eventually improving title too, as the reader needs some time to understand exactly the purpose of the work.

Minor english check is needed too.

best

Reviewer 3 Report

This paper requires a huge amount of work in correcting English. I can't even begin to understand the sentences correctly. I suggest the authors first submit this manuscript to an English editing service before submitting it to this journal. It is not reviewable in this current form.
