Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a highly needed publication as it corrects errors in previous articles on the same Y V spectrum.

Reviewer 2 Report

Extensive analysis of the Y4+ ion spectrum is reported in this manuscript. The spectrum was recorded on VUV high resolution spectrographs, measured with high accuracy and reliably classified using well established means of spectrum analysis. The paper contains vast amount of new fundamental data on Y V: measured and Ritz wavelengths, intensities of the identified lines, transition probabilities, energy levels and accurately determined ionization energy. Great value of the present analysis is removing of numerous previous spurious data on Y V.

The manuscript is clearly written and can be accepted without any changes.
