This study introduces the expanded Bluecat method that is a simple one without sophisticated computational means. This is important for for hydroclimatic studies. Overall, this manuscript is well prepared. I only have the following minor comments.

First, if appropriate, a figure can be added in section 2 to clearly show the flowchart of this study.

Second, the discussion part is relatively weak. I would suggest the authors expand this section with more details.

Third, there are some editing errors in the text. Examples are as follows:

Line 185: add "." after "(SSP245)"

Line 207: "3. Results" -> "4. Results"

Line 246: "In is" -> "It is"

Line 297: "4. Discussion and conclusions" -> "5. Discussion and conclusions"
