Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Acute Coronary Disease (ACD) is a life-threatening condition that affects the heart's blood supply. It occurs when the blood vessels supplying oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle become narrowed or blocked due to the buildup of plaque, a fatty substance. This blockage can lead to a heart attack, which is a medical emergency that requires immediate medical attention.

In the event of an ACD episode, immediate medical attention is crucial. Treatment may include medication to relieve symptoms and prevent further damage to the heart muscle, as well as procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement to restore blood flow to the heart. In severe cases, surgery may be necessary to repair or replace damaged heart tissue.

This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research, treatments, and prevention strategies for this life-threatening condition. Our hope is that this Special Issue will serve as a catalyst for further research and innovation in the field of cardiovascular health, ultimately leading to better outcomes for patients with ACD and their families.
